Tailored

Every property is unique, and so is our approach. We customize each appraisal to reflect the specific characteristics of your property, and deliver a valuation that truly represents its value in today’s market.

Four easy steps to get the true value of your home

Once the details of your property have been reviewed, we will reach out to schedule the on-site inspection. Most inspections take about 30 minutes, though the duration may vary depending on factors like property size, outbuildings, accessory units, or extensive acreage. Homeowners are encouraged to speak with the appraiser during the visit to discuss any questions, including potential renovations and how updates might impact the property’s value.

After completing the inspection and gathering all necessary property data, the Virginia Appraiser will begin the valuation process by analyzing recent, comparable sales in your local market. Adjustments are made for key differences in features—both positive and negative—to determine a fair and accurate market value for your home.

After the appraisal is finalized, you’ll receive a detailed PDF report by email. This report offers a clear breakdown of how your home’s value was determined, including comparable sales data, adjustment explanations, market trends, and high-quality photos. In some cases, the report may highlight suggested repairs or upgrades that could enhance the property's value—providing useful guidance for homeowners planning improvements.

A For Sale by Owner appraisal is conducted prior to listing a property for sale. It offers a professional, impartial valuation to help establish a market-based asking price. Additionally, it can serve as valuable support when responding to counteroffers that appear to be below market value.
